This whisky is hands down the best dressed whisky. 

Nose: oak and vanilla
Palate: vanilla, spices and oak
Finish: earthy with light spices

Although you get hints of spices and earthiness the base note is vanilla and you get that throughout your sip.

The whisky is quite delicate, light, and soft, but if you think about it, light and soft is how people in Japan enjoy their whisky. Most of the time they drink their whisky in a highball.
