Easy-to-Make Cocktail Recipes From Home This Winter

Winter isn’t as warm and fun as summer, but it doesn’t mean it has to be boring. You can add fun in winter by trying a delicious cocktail. We’ve written 10 easy cocktail recipes you can try at home. The list includes cocktails for party lovers, early birds, people who need a cure for a hangover, or people who simply want to chill. We’ve written recipes for 5 types of cocktails. Two for each type.

 

The types of cocktails are:

1. Vodka

Vodka Cocktails

Vodka Martini

Vodka Martini, also known as vodkatini and kangaroo cocktail, is a simple and elegant drink. The cocktail only requires 3 ingredients therefore it’s quite easy to prepare. The 2 main ingredients are vodka and vermouth and they should be of quality. If you want a classic vodka martini, keep the cheap stuff away.


Ingredients:
● ½ oz dry vermouth
● 2 ½ oz vodka
● Green olive or lemon zest removed with a peeler
● Ice (optional)


Steps:
1. Put the martini glass in the freezer 15-20 minutes before starting (optional)
2. Pour the vodka, vermouth, and ice cubes in the cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain the drink into the martini glass.
3. Garnish with green olive or lemon zest.

Bloody Mary

Bloody Mary is one of the world’s famous cocktails. It was created during the 1920’s and since then it has created quite a reputation for itself. It’s best used for getting rid of hangovers. No matter how hangover you’re, a glass of bloody mary will give you all the energy you need to kickstart your day. There are plenty of variations of this cocktail, and all of them are great for hangovers. Here is the one that gives the best combo of flavour and energy.

Ingredients:

● 1 lemon wedge

● 1 lime wedge

● 1 pinch smoke paprika

● 1 pinch ground black pepper

● 2 ounces of vodka

● 2 dashes of Tabasco sauce

● 2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce

● 2 teaspoons of prepared horseradish

● 4 ounces of tomato juice

● Celery salt

● Garnish: parsley sprig, green olives, and celery stalk

● Ice

 

Steps:

1. Put some salary salt on a small plate

2. Rub the juicy sides of lemon and lime wedges on a tip of a glass

3. Coat the outer edge of the glass with celery salt

4. Squeeze and then drop the lemon and lime edges into a shaker

5. vodka, worcestershire, black pepper, tomato juice, horseradish,

Tabasco, paprika, a pinch of celery salt, and ice then shake a little

6. Strain the mixture into the glass

7. Garnish with the ingredients mentioned above

Gin Cocktails

Classic Gin Martini

Gin Martini is an incredibly elegant and simple cocktail. The cocktail is super famous and has plenty of custom options. Meaning you can customize the drink to your liking. It may take a little trial and error to find the flavour you absolutely love, but trust us if you like gin cocktails, you’ll thank us for the rest of your life after trying the classic gin martini. Try different combos and change the quantity of ingredients a little to find the ideal taste.

 

Ingredients:

● ½ ounce of dry vermouth

● 2 ½ ounces gin

● Lemon twist or green olives for garnish

● 1 dash orange or aromatic bitters

● Ice

Steps:

1. Fill a glass with ice cubes

2. Add gin and vermouth (balance the ingredients to your liking)

3. Stir for 30 seconds

4. Strain into a chilled glass

5. Add a dash of bitters (of your liking)

6. Garnish with the ingredient you prefer

 

Gin and Tonic

Gin and Tonic is a classic cocktail. The drink is super refreshing and it’s incredibly easy to make. G&T is commonly used with dinners, but you can use it whenever you feel like you need a happy hour. This classic cocktail recipe is super simple, but it does need some special attention. You need to put quality ginger and tonics only and you need to be extremely careful when balancing both ingredients. You’ll probably like the amount we’ve written below, but it’s impossible to give a recipe that’s ideal for everyone. Therefore, you may need to do some testing to find the ideal taste.

Ingredients:

● 4-6 ounces of tonic water

● 2 ounces gin

● Lime wedge

Steps:

1. Grab a highball grass and fill it with ice cubes

2. Add the gin and then pour the tonic water

3. Stir the formula gently and briefly so you don't lose carbonation

4. Use a lime wedge

Rum Cocktails

Winter Mojito

Majito is a traditional Cuban highball. Traditional mojito is a refreshing cocktail for summer, but winter mojito is refreshing and delicious in winter as well. We highly encourage you to at least give this one a try, but we must warn you that you may find it hard to stop drinking this delicious cocktail.

Ingredient:

● ½ ounce of demerara syrup

● 2 ounces homemade spice rum

● 1 mint spring

● ¾ ounces lime juice, freshly squeezed

● 1 ounce club soda or tonic water

● 1 teaspoon licor 43 liqueur

● Garnish: mint sprig

Steps:

1. Grab a shaker and put some ice in it

2. Add lime juice, demerara syrup, and spiced rum in the shaker

3. Grab a Collins glass and double-strain the mixture

4. Top the mixture with fresh ice and mint spring

5. Add club soda or tonic water (tonic water will make the drink

bitter)

6. Garnish with mint spring

7. Pour the liqueur on the leaves and the drink

Hurricane

If you’re looking for a subtlery cocktail, then skip this one. Because this one is a great option for party animals. The cocktail is not only strong but it’s also delicious. The taste comes from fruits and juices. Hurricane cocktail includes a variety of ingredients, but you can make it pretty quickly.

Ingredients:

● ½ ounce of simple syrup

● ½ ounce of passion fruit puree

● 1 ounce of fresh lime juice

● 1 ounce of fresh orange juice

● 2 ounces of light rum

● 2 ounces of dark rum

● 1 teaspoon of grenadine

● Garnish: Orange half-wheel

● Garnish: Preserved cherry

● Ice cube

Steps:

1. Pour all the ingredients into a shaker

2. Shake them well

3. Strain into a large glass

4. Use the garnish

Tequila Cocktails

Oaxacan Old Fashioned

Although this cocktail has the word old in it, the cocktail isn’t that old. It was founded in 2007 by a bartender named Phill Ward. The drink is quite delicious and great for relaxing.

Introduction:

● .5 Vida Mezcal

● 1 bar of spoon agave nectar

● 1.5 oz of Corralejo Reposado Tequila

● 2 dashes of Bittermens Xocalocltl Bitters

● 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters

● Garnish: a long peel of orange

Steps:

1. Grab a mixer and pour in all the ingredients

2. Strain the mixture into a rock glass

3. Garnish with a long peel of an orange

 

The Marble Queen

The Marble Queen is a bit strong, but god is it delicious. This crisp, light, and smooth cocktail will always leave you craving for more, unless you drink a full jug. The drink only requires a few ingredients and it’s quite easy to create.

Ingredients:

● .5 oz lime juice

● 1 oz coco lopez cream of coconut

● 1.5 oz Milagro Tequila

● Ice cubes

● Salt or spice

Steps:

1. Grab a shaker, plus pour and shake all the ingredients

2. Pour in some ice cubes

3. Use salt or spice on the rim of the glass

Whiskey Cocktails

John Collins

John Collins is a great refreshment. Whether you want to relax alone or chill with friends, John Collins is your guy. This amazing refreshment is super simple.

Ingredients:

● 1 fluid ounce lemon juice

● 1 slice of lemon

● 1 slice of orange

● 1 teaspoon of simple syrup

● 1 maraschino cherry

● 2 clubs ounces of club soda

● 2 fluid ounces of bourbon whiskey

● 1 cup of ice

Steps:

1. Grab a cocktail shaker and pour in lemon juice, syrup, and bourbon whiskey (shake them well)

2. Pour in a cup of ice and cover the shaker when shaking

3. Strain the drink into a Collins glass

4. Add club soda and another cup of ice

5. Stir gently and garnish with lemon, orange, maraschino cherry

Irish Coffee

We’ve got two questions for you. Are you a coffee lover? A whiskey lover? If you answer yes to both of these questions, then you’ll fall in love with this drink. This one takes a little time to create, but the energy you’ll gain from this one will extremely outweigh the energy you put in.

Ingredients:

● 1 full cup of freshly brewed hot coffee

● Slightly whipped heavy cream

● 3 tablespoons of jigger irish whiskey

● 1 tablespoon of brown sugar

Steps:

1. Fill a mug with hot water and once the mug is warm, empty it

2. Pour hot coffee into the glass until it’s filled upto 3 quarters

3. Add the sugar and stir until fully dissolved

4. Add the irish whiskey

5. Gently pour the whipped heavy cream with the back spoon
