Founded by Jon Julio Gonzalez more than 70 years ago, Don Julio Tequila has been dedicated to perfecting every aspect of his spirits to craft the world's first luxury tequilas. Taking a different approach than ever before, Don Julio allowed each agave plant to grow to its full maturity before harvesting. He would then select only the most succulent portions, before slow roasting them for 72-hour cycles. A tradition continued throughout the almost-century of its production, the resulting tequila is smoother, richer, and of outstanding quality. Don Julio Real Extra Anejo Tequila, considered the crown jewel of the Don Julio portfolio, is aged for three to five years in American oak barrels to create a tequila with truly exquisite taste.
