The Balvenie The Second Red Rose (48.1% ABV) is a 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky inspired by the occupant of Balvenie Castle, The Fair Maid of Galloway, Margaret Douglas. King James, the castle owner, was enamoured with her beauty and thus allowed Margaret to reside there for the annual price of a single red rose. It is this wonderfully charming story that has inspired The Balvenie Second Red Rose. This elegant whisky has been matured for 21 years and finished in Australian Shiraz casks.
